Marriage
Today there is no greater contribution to society than to have strong marriages and healthy families walking out of the church on Sunday and into the culture on Monday. Yet, this is no small task. Some now view marriage as one of the riskiest ventures taken in one’s life. After all, married couples are usually made up of two individuals that are very different from one another–that are now making a decision to attempt to live harmoniously together in a new permanent relationship for life. Frankly, it’s a ridiculous notion without God’s help!
When reality does not match the idealistic aspirations often held about marriage, we want to assist couples to dig in, experience the hard transformational work of becoming more selfless, and then prayerfully experience the fullness of this special relationship designed by God. Then, the further good news is that society benefits many times over from each successful marriage. That’s why the Marriage Ministry at MDPC is committed to encouraging, training and equipping those inside and outside the church to strengthen their own marriages.

Summertime means sun, sports, trips and no school! It’s also a great time to get out of the heat and join Brett and Kellie Hurst of Home Encouragement for some summer marriage fun. Carve out some time to re-connect with your spouse as you learn to strengthen you marriage muscles.

This is a favorite event for married couples! Just far enough away from home to feel like you left experience, practical, entertaining teaching and discussion and time to yourselves to enjoy. The retreat begins at 12:00pm on Saturday with lunch. Sessions are on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Saturday night is free for you to enjoy a “Staycation” on the hotel grounds or explore the local attractions.

Cancellation/Refunds
Cancellations prior to September 14 will result in a refund less a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations after September 14 will result in a 50% refund. We regret that there are no refunds given within 48 hours of the event.
