Important Notice about fema assistance
It seems that the amount of dollars that our area will receive from FEMA is affected by the number of volunteer hours that are logged. Please go in and log your hours using FEMA's form, and help raise the level of assistance that our families and our area will receive. This article will explain more fully.

"I volunteered to join a mucking crew with MDPC yesterday. I was glad to help the family get started on the recovery process and to gain a much better understanding of what the flood victims are going through. These Houstonians have a long and difficult road ahead. You are in our prayers!" –Jeremiah Collins
"When you volunteer for disaster relief jobs, you are helping more than you can imagine. You watch the spirit of the homeowners rise up with hope; they have been lost in the hopeless task to clean up. A few hours of volunteering means the world to those in need." –Judy Peters

If you would like to donate money for flood victims through MDPC, we have established a special Hurricane Harvey fund. The Outreach Committee is working with local partners and faith-based relief agencies to gather current giving opportunities. Our working goal is to best determine how dollars contributed to our Harvey Relief Fund can be amplified for the greatest impact and reach. There will be immediate giving opportunities, as well as mid-term needs, recognizing that it will take months or longer to restore our hometown. Use the link below, and select "Hurricane Harvey" in the designation field.
