As we GO out into the grocery stores, neighborhoods, villages, cities, states, and sometimes, even other nations, we learn, serve and meet needs, and Be LOVE. Where is He calling you to be His Light, and spread His salt in this world? Are you a business person? Do you encourageothers? Do you have a great heart for prayer? Has God given you a heart for orphans, street kids, or those without water,homes, schools… Do you have a mind for enterprise and building micro-enterprises or helping ministries in crisis? He wants to give all people a heart for all peoples of this world; His heart is for all people of all nations to know and follow Jesus, living lives of authentic transformation and desiring that transformation for others. How can we further this great commission together?
Consider yourself someone who could be SENT…and He may nudge you, and ask you to help someone in a third-world country with business skills, care for orphans, drill a water well, or teach English. You might love and encourage our missionaries and partners with a personal visit. Ask Him where your heart connects with the needs in this world. Listen, and He will show you the places and people who might need your joy, smile, time, talent, or your resource.
And, if you are not called to GO internationally, do you know that you can help send others by using your sewing, baking, administrative, business and financial gifts? There are communities in Houston where you can share your love with refugees and be a part of helping them adjust to life in this BIG city. We’re all a part of the mission from Houston to the ends of the earth, partnering together because we have a great King who is worthy of great praise. Go….
