MDPC has just concluded an amazing chapter of ministry with Dave Peterson as our Senior Pastor. He has expanded our vision for reaching the world for Jesus, and has called us to a deeper and more meaningful dedication to following Jesus. Now we stand at the threshold of a leadership transition. Eventually, God will provide a new person to serve as MDPC’s Senior Pastor, and a new chapter of ministry will begin for this wonderful church.

As we embark on this time of transition, questions may arise in your hearts and minds: Why are we here? What is the mission to which God has called us? On May 19, we begin a new sermon series looking at the six reasons why the Church of Jesus Christ exists, and what it is called to do. We’ll rediscover these core purposes as the body of Christ:

to proclaim the Gospel for salvation;
to shelter and nurture God’s people;
to worship God;
to preserve the truth;
to promote social righteousness; and
to exhibit the Kingdom of God to the world.

Regardless of who is the Senior Pastor at MDPC, adherence to these core values professes our allegiance to Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, and affirms our commitment to MDPC as our community of faith!
