Pastor Alf will examine the latest statistics around the growing secularization of our society today and discuss how MDPC can respond with wisdom and relevance to the challenges that our Church must address if we are to move forward in a changing world.

Alf received a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Luther College in Iowa, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to receive a Master of Divinity (1990) and Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. Alf was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 1991. Prior to coming to MDPC, Alf and his wife, Shari, parents of two adult children, served at Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, Iowa; First and Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Missouri; and First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
