Woodworking For Your Young Child: Hands-On "Woodshop" For Adults

Cost: $675 for adult plus one (additional $50 for plus one materials)
For adults 18 and over: Learn how to safely use basic woodworking tools with your child 4 yr. or older at home or in Pre-K or Kinder classroom. You will receive: hands-on experience with basic woodworking tools, wood to take home for up to 10 projects, a file box to keep things organized, a notebook with a list of tools and supplies needed, plans for a children's worktable, and your step-by-step notes on every project.
Linda Engelland has taught Woodworking for Young Children and A to Z Woodworking in Houston for over 20 years! She has a B.S. in Education from the University of Texas and is AMS Montessori certified.

Jimena Lieb practices and teaches Iyengar yoga, which emphasizes correct alignment of joints for maximum benefit and safety. In this class, the use of props such as chairs, blocks, blankets, or straps may be incorporated to help students adjust or support themselves in the different postures and thereby achieve a range of motion that is effective and safe. Students will practice postures to reduce stress, create strength and flexibility, and correct structural imbalances for better overall health.

This is a beginner’s class for adults with little to no art experience. Everyone can draw! You will learn a fun and calming drawing technique that will increase your creativity and focus.
