FIND

Fellowship in Discipleship (FIND) is a fellowship of Christian men who are serious about authenticity, community, humility, and recovery. We challenge each other daily to believe the incredible news that God actually knows us, loves us, and has restored us to Himself. As we follow Jesus Christ together, we find our lives progressively interrupted by righteousness, peace, and joy.

We are not a church. We are simply one extension of the church universal. We are not perfect. Not even close. We are broken individuals, but in our fractured fellowship we find a foretaste of God’s approaching re-creation.

Each group of at least 7 and no more than 10 men is formed through the design and timing of the Holy Spirit. As it stands today, most of the men in each of these small groups live or work near the epicenter of I-10 (Katy Freeway) and Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) on the west side of Houston, Texas. Groups meet weekly for about an hour to an hour and a half, on a day and time that works for each group that is formed. Meeting locations vary with each group based on the average centralized location.

These are not one-year, study-specific groups. The mindset of each group is that they are forming for life, with a goal attaining the candor and trust that is built over time with transparency, vulnerability, and the cement that is provided by the Holy Spirit. We typically don’t expand existing groups unless the group unanimously decides to grow their group, but we are always in the process of forming the next group. To learn more, complete the form below, and someone will contact you.

Open Door Mission

MDPC Men and Men’s Life have had a longtime historic connection with the men of Open Door Mission in Houston. Open Door Mission (ODM) is a faith and evidence-based recovery program and facility helping the homeless since 1954. It's dedicated to transforming the lives of the most severely addicted, destitute, and disabled men in our community at no cost to them.

If you'd like to become directly involved along with other MDPC men in the objectives of ODM, such as mentoring, tutoring, teaching, or helping with employment opportunities, contact Dick Ebling ( ) or Charlie Chaffin ( ). They'd be glad to talk to you about this important alliance. Click here for more information about Open Door Mission.
