Youth

We want you to be a part of MDPC Youth! We have a lot of fun together, but most importantly, we grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to worshiping and studying the Bible together, our youth group participates in a ton of events like service projects, mission trips, retreats, fellowship, and much more.

Weekly Gatherings

LIFE GROUPS are grade and gender-specific small groups that meet weekly at MDPC during the school year. They are a great way for students to connect and form a Christ-centered community with their peers and adult leaders. Guests are always welcome!

6th-12th graders meet in the CLC building at MDPC every Wednesday from 7-8:30pm. Dinner is always provided!

Confirmation

Confirmation is available to 9th—12th grade students who are prepared to declare their faith in Jesus and join MDPC as members. It is a chance for students to understand the basic beliefs of the Christian faith, engage in discussions, ask questions, and develop as disciples of Jesus.

The next confirmation class will be held in September 2025. Registration is now open and will close on Aug 28.

Summer Mission Trips

Our summer mission trips allow students to understand the meaning of service in various communities while sharing the love of Jesus and strengthening their relationship with Him.

Summer 2026 dates are coming soon! Registration opens the first week of January—be sure you're subscribed to our weekly Youth newsletter so you don't miss out on important updates.

Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in serving with the MDPC Youth group! We are so appreciative of your time and commitment. Please read the different descriptions of volunteer and leader opportunities. When you have decided which one fits you best, fill the application form out below the opportunity description. If you are interested in applying for multiple opportunities, email Megan Hulings ( ) so she can send you the appropriate form.

Hospitality Team Volunteer

Hospitality for MDPC Youth means providing a welcoming space for students when they come to our programs! Donuts, check-in tables, and decorating for events are just some of the things our hospitality team does for our students! Behind the scenes but making the first impression, our hospitality team needs people who are creative, friendly, and willing to pick up donuts!

Application & Release
Trip Leader (Retreat or Mission Trip)

MDPC Youth goes on several trips throughout the year, and they range from weekend retreats to weeklong mission trips. Trip leaders are asked to commit to attending the entire trip. We ask that they be flexible as sometimes the flow of the trip changes, and able to support the goal of the retreat/trip. Trip leaders are asked to be comfortable leading small-group time (with resources provided) and to be willing to lead by word and example.

Connection Leader

Sunday mornings are busy! Our Connection leaders help our staff manage the chaos by interacting with students, playing games, and helping students focus when it’s time for the message! Our Connection leaders make a commitment to attending Connection once or twice a month! We ask these volunteers to be comfortable initiating conversations, participating in games, and encouraging students to focus when the time comes.

Application & Release
Life Group Leader

Life groups are a safe space for students to explore and grow in their faith through discussion and reading scripture. Life group leaders are a vital part of that process by providing a safe and helpful sounding board, offering wise and sound input, asking questions, and encouraging students as they make their faith their own. We ask our life group leaders to commit to leading for at least one year (although we hope they’ll stay on for longer) and to showing up every week (during the school year), as well as dropping in on one or two additional MDPC Youth events to help build their relationships with their group!
