Vanessa Cabera began her career with Marriott International as a Housekeeping Manager and went on to build an 18-year tenure with the company. During her time at Marriott, she served in a variety of leadership roles, including Director of Services, HR Operations, University Recruiting, and Global Talent Acquisition.

In 2018, Vanessa transitioned out of Marriott to return to her passion for HR Operations, joining OTG Management—a hospitality company specializing in restaurants and retail markets across 11 airports in the U.S. and Canada. She began as a Senior Manager and progressed over a seven-year career into HR leadership. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources, overseeing all HR operations for OTG Management.

Originally from Ruidoso, New Mexico, Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History and a master’s degree in Family and Consumer Science, with a concentration in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.

Vanessa is the proud mother of two teenage sons, Evan and Ian. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, weightlifting, and traveling back home to New Mexico whenever possible to reconnect with her roots.
