Meet Kimberly!
Hi everyone! I’m Kimberly Wright, and I’m excited to be joining MDPC as the Director of Catering and Hospitality.
Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and I’m looking forward to making that an even bigger part of our life at MDPC. Whether it’s our Monday-Thursday lunch service, a Sunday lunch, a special event, a ministry gathering, or a celebration, my goal is to make sure the food is delicious and—just as importantly—fits the needs of each group and event.
I’ll be working closely with our catering partner to bring you great food and new options, while making the process of planning an event easier for our church groups.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you, hearing what you have planned, and helping make your next gathering a great one. And yes…there will be plenty of good food along the way!

Recent Updates to MDPC Food Ministries
Food Ministry has long been important to the MDPC worshipping body, and the surrounding community. Through many conversations, staff surveys, and the work of a Food Ministry Task Force, MDPC has decided to transition to a new food service model. This conversation incorporates considerations from our Master Planning Team, while also taking into consideration the daily and weekly needs of MDPC ministries and Outreach Partners.
Beginning this past August, we moved from on-site meal preparation to a catering model under the leadership of our new Catering & Hospitality Manager, Kimberly Wright. Kimberly oversees catered meals for weekday lunches and hospitality for church events and works with each ministry department to plan and host events, sourcing food from various Houston vendors.
We are profoundly thankful to the volunteers and chefs who have served through the years and we hope that you will continue to serve in the future. Each brings connection, commitment, and excellence that allow community to develop around the enjoyment of food! Jesus ate with people, and so do we! We also are incredibly grateful to ECI for their partnership and excellence by which they have met our needs and serviced a wide variety of requests. Their service has been a blessing, and we believe this partnership has been a true win-win for both organizations during this season.
