Help Us Reach HCU College Students!
MDPC Young Adults is partnering with Baptist Student Ministry to serve a free lunch to 150+ college students. This is more than just a meal—it’s an opportunity to connect with students, build genuine relationships, share the hope of the gospel, and invite them into a community where they can take their next step toward Christ.
We need volunteers to help make these connections possible!
- Serve Volunteers – Help with setup and tear-down, serve food, and make students feel welcomed and cared for. (10am - 1:30pm)
- Connect Volunteers – Mingle with students, look for opportunities to have intentional gospel conversations, build genuine connections, and invite students to MDPC events and community. (10:40am- 1pm - feel free to come and go as your schedule allows)
- Food Volunteers – Help provide the meal by bringing a food item. Sign up to bring food. Please drop food off by Monday, September 14 outside the YA office, which is on the second floor of the CLC building right by The Garage.
Why Your Help Matters
College students are at a unique point in life. Many are asking big questions about identity, purpose, relationships, and faith as they form friendships and habits that can shape the rest of their lives. An outreach event like this gives us a natural, low-pressure way to meet students where they are.
But the meal is only the beginning. Volunteers create the opportunity for students to feel seen, welcomed, and known. A conversation over lunch can open the door to a friendship; a friendship can lead to a gospel conversation; and that conversation can be the beginning of someone hearing and responding to the good news of Jesus.
With 150+ students expected, we need plenty of volunteers so that students aren't simply served a meal—they're personally welcomed and connected with people who genuinely care about them and want them to know Christ.
Come serve, start conversations, and help us make much of Jesus on campus!
